MORBID FLESH - Reborn in Death CD [MEMENTO-III]

The debut full-length by one of the most promising acts in the current Spanish scene. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at Moontower Studios, and it features their 2009 demo, entitled "Impaled Ratzinger", as bonus for a total running time of about 60 minutes of old school Metal of Death that draws its influences from the rottenness that hailed from both Scandinavia and Central Europe, and the U.S. ancient brutality. Think Dismember meets Asphyx meets Death

SHADOW OF THE TORTURER - Marching into Chaos CD [MEMENTO-V]

Ritualistic, abyssic and soul-torturing über-Doom from Seattle, WA, with an ex-Aldebaran and ex-H.C. Minds member (Mr. Mike Brown) on guitars and vocals. All artwork and layout by Glyn Smyth @ Scrawled Design (Unearthly Trance, Wolves In The Throne Room, Cough...). The CD includes five tracks of their own plus a cover of Black Sabbath's "Who are you?". Be doomed. And be dead.
NOTE: This is NOT the same recording that was released through Blind Date Records in 2009. The band were not satisfied with the production so they re-entered the studio a few months later and re-recorded everything anew.

ACROSTICHON - Engraved in Black CD [MEMENTO-VI]

Official reissue of their 1993 album, originally released on Modern Primitive, with the "Dehumanized" demo, two live tracks and a compilation song as bonus tracks. Death Metal the way it was always meant to be, rotten and moisty, with some mandatory doom-laden tempos and a little bit of Thrash thrown in for good measure. Draw a mental picture of Autopsy, Obituary or Nihilist with the ocassional pince of ancient Thrash Metal and you're almost there. This reissue features a jaw-dropping new artwork and layout by Richard Robotmonster Schouten @ Robotmonster including a 12-page booklet that is packed with rare photos, old flyers, lyrics, etc.

CANCER SPREADING - The Age of Desolation CD [MEMENTO-VII]

Debut full-length of an Italian Death/Crust warmachine that's been actively punishing the underground since 2006 with a demo and a bunch of EP's. This is all about the heavier-than-thou, apocalyptic sound that made early Bolt Thrower stand out as one of the most storming acts ever and whose influence spanned through the years with such great combos as Sanctum, Instinct Of Survival, Warmaster or Stormcrow. 8 songs of their own + intro + a rendition of Bolt Thrower's classic anthem "Cenotaph", extremely recommended for followers of all the bands mentioned above plus Deviated Instinct and early Hellbastard. Cover art by Christina Casperson @ Xna.Art (http://xnaart.blogspot.com/).

MANGLED TORSOS - Drawings of the Dead CD [MEMENTO-VIII]

Official reissue of their debut full-length, originally released on Morbid Records in 1994, slightly remastered for an even more pleasurable listening experience and featuring their "Anatomia Reformata" EP as bonus tracks. Thick, gruesome Death Metal with a distinctively bizarre, surreal and decadent atmosphere comprised of slow-to-mid paced passages and grinding overtones sublimated by some gargling, guttural vocals, like the impossible combination of early Pungent Stench, diSEMBOWELMENT and Demilich. The 12-page booklet features a brand new cover art & layout by Patrick Wentz, the band's drummer.

BURIAL - Relinquished Souls CD [MEMENTO-IX]

Official reissue of this Death Metal masterpiece from the Netherlands, originally released through West Virginia Records back in 1993, and featuring the “Frigid Cold” demo (1992) as bonus tracks for a total of 13 songs. A crushing and devastating old school Death Metal feast that’s aggressive, but also catchy, with fantastic riffs, wonderfully growled vocals and killer ideas that will appeal to any fan of such bands as Massacre, Death, Morgoth or Pestilence.

RIGOR SARDONICOUS - Ego Diligio Vos CD [MEMENTO-X]

Almost 24 years after its inception back in 1988, Rigor Sardonicous remains as one of the darkest, scariest Death Metal bands around. Utterly slow and terribly progressive, their music could just about qualify as Doom Metal, but not in the traditional sense. What you get here is crushing yet subtle heaviness that comes from the void. They give the song of death a new name and overshadows all others with their crushing corpulence. Extremely unique, "Ego Diligio Vos" fuses Doom Metal's progression, Death Metal's vocal approach and a bleak and permeating atmosphere to create one of the best underground Metal releases of the year.
